business operations. Dr. Dirck Lassen, Vice President of Commercial Operations,
is responsible for sales, marketing and general management.

PD Dr. Albrecht Lepple-Wienhues,
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Lepple-Wienhues, co-founder of flyion and inventor of flyion's flyscreen® technology, studied medicine
at the University of Berlin, where he started his career as biophysicist and electrophysiologist. Following his Ph.D., he
spent two years as post-doc in Michael Cahalans laboratory at UCI, Irvine, USA, where he worked in the field of
storage-operated calcium ion channels. He successfully studied the specific role of ion channels for immune response and
cancer, and qualified as a university lecturer of physiology in 1999. He has been Chief Executive Officer of flyion since
its foundation in 2001. Dr. Lepple-Wienhues has excellent business relationships with executive directors of several
pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Dirck Lassen
Vice President of Commercial Operations
Dr. Lassen joined flyion in July 2007. During the previous 13 years, Dr. Lassen worked
at Tripos, where he was most recently responsible for worldwide software sales and scientific
marketing. Dr. Lassen received a degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from Johann
Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt, Germany, where he worked on three dimensional protein structure
determination based on NMR spectroscopy and computational modelling methods.
